The DLC was chartered in 1974 by the 7 shore line towns. Our mission is to provide leadership, guidance, and resources to preserve and restore Deal Lake and its tributaries as a healthy and stable ecosystem. In addition, control lake levels during heavy storms to the best of our ability with limited ocean tide controls.

    Deal Lake, its tributaries and watershed are regulated by Federal and State agencies. Check before you dig.

    Strict compliance with the NJDEP regulations apply to any land 50 feet adjacent to the Deal Lake shoreline as well as any land 50 feet adjacent to any stream that drains into Deal Lake.

    Property owners should contact the NJDEP before beginning any maintenance or any construction along the lake's shoreline.

    There can be consequences, including fines and time delays for proceeding with work, prior to securing the appropriate NJDEP permit(s).

                WHEREAS, the Deal Lake Commission authorized the request of  proposals for the Loch Arbour Landscape Improvement Project on December 6, 2018; and

                WHEREAS, the Commission Engineer did solicit proposals for the Loch Arbour Landscape Improvement Project to be received on February 14, 2019; and

                WHEREAS, the Commission Engineer sent requests for proposals to the following:  Environmental Landscape Design, Wall, NJ, Down to Earth Landscaping, Inc., Jackson, NJ, Celtic Concepts, Inc., Eatontown, NJ and A.K. Botanical Design, Belmar, NJ; and

                WHEREAS, in connection herewith, four (4) proposals were received and opened on February 14, 2019 by the Commission Engineer:

                WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer of the Deal Lake Commission has certified that funds for said contract are available; and

                NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Deal Lake Commission, that it does hereby award the contract to Environmental Landscape Design for Landscaping Items 1 – 23 (Base Bid Items) and Benches and Trash Receptacles Items A1 – A2 (Alternate Bid Items) at a cost not to exceed $22,931.00; and

                BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Village of Loch Arbour, Deal Lake Commission Chief Financial Officer and Environmental Landscape Design.
